Insurance Institute for Highway Safety: A few of our GLM members attended a IIAV event at the Insurance Institute for highway safety in Ruckersville, VA. We not only learned how to be safer on the road but we also learned about staged accident fraud and how much is costs the insurance industry each year.
Jennifer Garriques was honored at the 2017 IIAV Young Agents Conference and received the Young Agent of the year award in recognition of her outstanding agency, association, industry, and community achievements as a member of the IIAV.
Trusted Choice is a proud sponsor of the Make-a-Wish Foundation Greater Virginia for the Walk for Wishes. The past 4 years, GLM Insurance has attended, donated, and supported this great cause alongside IIAV. In 2019, the GLM Team raised $570 to Make-A-Wish Foundation!
Each year, the IIAV head to capital hill to meet with Virginia congressman and educate them on issues important to us and our clients.
For the past 2 years, Jennifer Garriques has speared headed the Thanksgiving Food drive through the IIAV Young agents. The Young Agents teamed up with the Virginia Supportive Housing, who help in providing permanent housing and supportive services not only for the homeless but also those who are disabled due to a brain injury. In 2018, the IIAV received an outstanding number of food donations to provide not only 1 but 2 Thanksgiving dinners.
Jennifer Garriques is Chair of the IIAV Young Agents Committee and she attended the National Young Agent Conference in Springfield, MA. This conference helps young professional agents hone in on strategies for building a better business, improving leadership skills, and establishing strong connections.
